About Neuroendovascular Non-coils

A neuroendovascular non-coil is used to treat an unruptured or ruptured brain aneurysm (a weakened area in the artery wall). The treatment is either known as endovascular coiling or endovascular embolization. During this procedure, the neuroendovascular non-coil blocks the blood flow in an aneurysm. The treatment is usually performed under general anesthesia by interventional neuroradiologists using fluoroscopic imaging guidance. Neuroendovascular non-coils are used as alternatives to coils in the treatment of an aneurysm.
