Many doctors suggest aspirin to the patients of heart attack, stroke, and other heart diseases as the medicine work as the blood thinner. The aspirin is mainly used as pain removal in head and muscles.

The heart specialist with the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, Holly Andersen said, consumption of a small amount of aspirin can be helpful to these people. It’s very important and reduces the risk of stroke and numerous heart diseases.

Experts at the European Society of Cardiology agrees with this statement and commented that the benefit of aspirin for preventing a second heart attack and stroke. The experts say that warnings against aspirin come from ‘increased risk of major bleeding in the body.’

Major research such as Boston study and the Oxford study. Boston study is based on the 12,000 patients who were at moderate risk of heart problems because of other issues such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and smoking. But, these patients showed no improvement after consumption of taking the drug.

Additionally, the Oxford study is based on the 15,000 adults suffering from Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and conducted by experts by the University of Oxford in Britain. They were generally in good health but no history of heart diseases.

The aspirin users had fewer problems but more at risk of serious internal bleeding. The researchers said these patients have traded one risk with another risk.

Dr. Armitage answered about possible health risks due to consumption of aspirin. She said if you’re healthy, it’s not worth to consumption of it.
